Concerts - A Facebook platform application

Project: Build an application to bring social context to the best sources for local live music events

Task: Started from the idea of creating an RSS feed for the infamous concert listings site posted by Steve Koepke, The List. That idea transformed into building a Facebook platform application where sources such as Jambase could be used to extend reach further than Northern CA.
Work: The site is done in PHP and MySQL and uses a combination of cron based scrapes as well as API interactions to gather data. The timeframe to launch was extremly short, 2-3 weeks and at this point development is on-going.

CU Connect - Portal Feed

Project: Create an RSS feed for the CU Connect Portal

Task: As a part of the CU Connect (Student Portal) implementation the Student Government was to provide a service to serve student governemnt related news.
Work: UCSU (student gov) already had an existing web application built in Cold Fusion, my job was to extend the functionality by creating an RSS feed.

Task: Given an extremly short time frame of less than 3 days this site needed to be completed as soon as possible in a static format.
Work: This site was created in the static fashion required for its purpose. The site contains, CSS, minimal flash, and simple HTML. Site was created and maintained on a regular basis throughout the course of the campaign.

Project: Content/Rush Management Application & Site Re-design

Task: Create an online rush management application for the mens rush process. Add dynamic content to the existing websites (both IFC and Panhel) and create an online management application that would allow users with very little computer experience to update records and upload files to the site. Redesign site in order to gain similarity and a uniform desgin for pages and content.
Work: The site was developed using mySQL and PHP. The site contains two areas, the public website which contains content that is pulled from the database, and an administration site which is password protected. The administration site gives the users the ability to update, delete, and insert records relating to news and events as well as the ability to upload files to the web server. The rush administration of the application also has two parts, one for IFC and one for each fraternity. Fraternities can log onto the site to look up prospective members, via the search tool, who have registered via the registration screens and IFC can log on to administer both groups of users.

Project: Platform Informational Website

Task: Create a simple but professional website to convey the platorms and biographies of the canidate's given a short time frame.
Work: The site was developed using CSS to maintain a consistent look and feel throughout the site. Dreamweaver and Photoshop were used to construct the webpages. The site consists of simple HTML and graphics. Site design and implementation was done in about 2hrs.

Project: CPH Manufacturers Representatives Website

Task: Create a website that displays product line information, gives company information, and allows users to request information from CPH about product lines.
Work: Worked with CPH to create a site design and evaluate the content that was going to be presented online. Migration of site from UNIX to Windows 2000. Photoshop and Fireworks were used to create the images and JavaScript rollovers. Dreamweaver was used to develop the templates for the pages and write the code that drives the pages content.

Presidio Trust, San Francisco, California

Project: Tenant Directory

Task: Redesign the tenant directory, graphically and technically.
Work: Re-developed the tenant directory to allow for a move intensive database driven search function with accurate results. The search allows the end user to search the database by, name, category, or district. The results page points the results of the search to a dynamic description page for each tenant. The graphic interface of the directory was redesigned to keep it consistent with the rest of the Presidio Trust website.

Project: Special Event Locations

Task: Create a dynamic interface to search and view special event locations for the rapidly expanding special events department.
Work: An intro page was created displaying all locations on a single page, on this page the user can click on a location to view it’s details page or a user can choose a category from a drop down list and view all of the locations in that category. The details page is database driven and allows for the content to appear dynamically as the user navigates from location to location.
Project: Presidio Post Online

Task: Change the format of the Presidio Post from static html pages to a database driven dynamic newsletter. The user must be able to search the post for articles, content, and issues.
Work: Graphic design of the layout and content was done with Photoshop and Fireworks. Kept the Presidio Post Online consistent with the look and appeal of the physical paper version. Programmed the pages to allow for many different formats according to what content was provided by the database.
Project: Real Estate Database

Task: Migrate the Real Estate Database from an access application to a browser based interfaceusing a SQL 2000 database.
Work: Developed multiple pages and forms that edited, inserted, and deleted records from the many tables of information within the existing database. To achieve this task JavaScript and VBScript were used. I ensured that the graphic presentation of the new browser based application closely resembled that of the old access forms so that usability would not decrease after implementation.

Task: Create a website that can be used as a recruitment tool, a public relations resource, a phone directory of current members, and an alumni relations tool.
Work: Flash was used to create all moving banners and images. Dreamweaver was used to layout the pages and colors. Photoshop was used to modify images for web presentation. The phone directory was designed to eventually be migrated to a database driven format however at the current time remains static html.
